Love and Laughter

Looking up into the sky,
I see something much brighter,
A light accessible
Through a human glow.

I looked at the stars and saw the meaning of love,
Because love looked back at me and smiled.
And I thought to myself then
As I stood by the tree of half enclosed ivory,
That love and laughter must be the same.

For this light was so bright
That it startled me with its realism.
Love was in the skies that night
And not just in her touch.

For once I could feel a spiritual presence
Guiding me where she had never been before.
The ground seemed new
But somehow I had been here so many times before.

I had a feeling of inner warmth
As I strolled beside the leaves
That lay on the ground in writhing torment.

My face lied to me,
I tried to make it out
But my mind was confused,
Distorted and twisted into belief.
A belief brought about by a superior being
That was shining down on me
From the star to which my attention was turned.

		This was no star
			This was life,
	This was love and laughter
