Family Albums From here you can view family photograph albums of our days out, our travels and anything else of interest that we snap. There is also a description about the albums. We are updating this area of our site regularly so please re-visit. Many of the albums are available via Picasa. Norwich from on high - September 2010 These shots were taken of Norwich from the top of the Roman Catholic Cathedral during the annual City heritage days. Towards the end of the photos are images from the Rosary Cemetery which has a fascinating history.
Now that the boys have left home and have their own lives we get together as a family all too rarely. In 2011 we did get together in Hertfordshire for the renewal of vows of Anne's niece Janet and her husband David, who had already been married over 10 years. After a church service at Redbourn there was a lovely reception and evening party, adding up to an enjoyable weekend.
Sussex and Tunbridge Wells May 2011 Following the weekend described above, Anne and Peter travelled down to Eastbourne to stay with Chris for a few days. On the way home they visited a number of Sussex villages and stopped off in Royal Tunbridge Wells, a place that holds special memories for us. The Pantiles were just as they were in the early seventies. Peter spent lots of holidays in Tunbridge Wells as a boy staying with relatives and it was the place where we got engaged in 1975. So fond memories all round.
Sometimes in travelling round gardens in the country you can lose sight of how special your own garden is. We have worked hard on our own little space which was looking particularly colourful in May 2011 thanks to the sunshine.
London and the Chelsea Flower Show - May 2011 In 2011 we made our first visit to the Chelsea Flower Show and took the following images. If you look closely you will see Alan Titchmarsh and Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen amongst the gardens. On the way to Chelsea we stopped off outside the Parliament buildings hoping to catch a glimpse of American President Barack O'Barma who was speaking to the House of Commons that day. We stood for an hour but saw nothing.
One of our favourite places, not only in this country but much further afield, is the lovely Suffolk seaside town of Southwold. A lovely pier, picturesque town, clean beach, unique beach huts, a common, a harbour, a lighthouse, fish and chips and Adnams beer are just some of the attractions of this stylish English seaside town. These photos were taken in June 2011.
Worthing and West Sussex - July 2011 Stayed at a friend's apartment in Worthing and travelled to Brighton and various other places in East and West Sussex. Took these photos on the way.
East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden Opening Evening - July 2011 One of Anne's favourite Norfolk gardens is the Old Vicarage at East Ruston. She took these shots during an open evening in July 2011.
